Six teams remain in the running for the 2025 Indian Premier League playoffs.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are eliminated from the competition as a result of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) game in Bengaluru being washed out. Six clubs are presently vying for the four postseason berths. Check out how those teams compare.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Played: 12, Points: 17, NRR: 0.482
Remaining matches: SRH (home), LSG (away)

One additional point would guarantee RCB's spot in the playoffs following the Bengaluru game's abandonment. Five teams can still finish with 17 points or more, but they aren't quite there yet with 17. If Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeat Rajasthan Royals (RR) but lose their next two games to the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI), that might occur. Run rates will be considered if MI defeats DC because RCB, MI, GT, DC, and PBKS can all finish with 17 points or more with eight victories.
Punjab Kings

Remaining matches: RR (a), DC (Jaipur), MI (Jaipur)

To qualify, PBKS must win two games. 17 points does not now guarantee qualifying because, as was previously indicated, up to five clubs could score 17 points or more.
However, only one of MI and DC may finish with 17 or more points because they are playing each other. Therefore, even if PBKS loses their next two games, they still have a chance to qualify with 17 points, but they need to defeat DC to do it.
PBKS can still move forward despite having lost all three of their previous games and sitting at 15 points. But in order for that to occur, DC have to lose their next two games in order to maintain their 15-point record, while the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) need to win no more than two of their next three games. In that case, PBKS and DC would compete for the final playoff slot based on their respective net run rates.
